Modelling and Environmental Aspects of Direct or Indirect Dimethyl Ether Synthesis Using Digestate as Feedstock

چکیده

The conversion of waste and residues towards high added value products has receiving a growing attention, as reliable strategy to improve sustainability emergent processes. Anaerobic digestion converts organic into biogas digestate. While may be used for energetic purpose, digestate limited uses with low profitability. In this paper, dimethyl ether (DME) is adopted target product which produced from digestate-derived syngas. Process simulation carried out both direct indirect synthesis DME environmental aspects are assessed.

This work includes a modelling and simulation of dimethyl ether direct synthesis in a tubular type reactor with hybrid catalysts bed. The results of simulation show that the loading ratio of methanol synthesis and dehydration catalysts has a important influence on product yield.
